EU announces the size of its 2024 budget!

The Council of the European Union and the European Parliament have reached an agreement on the EU budget for 2024, which will determine next year's European programs. It includes €360 million to increase the EU's capacity to respond effectively to unforeseen needs, within the spending ceilings set by the multiannual financial framework for 2021-2027.
Next year's budget strongly reflects the EU's key priorities, in particular economic recovery, environmental sustainability and digital transformation. It also aims to provide an effective response to the current challenging geopolitical situation. The budget includes strategic investments and policy support to achieve these objectives.
This annual budget also includes spending on the operation of Erasmus+, Horizon Europe and other key EU programs, supporting the effective and sustainable use of the funds available through these programs. The budget also sets out the EU's overall financial position and revenues, thus ensuring financial transparency.
